Calculate your expected damage, damage per hit, critical damage, vulnerable damage, and DPS with a powerful damage calculator built for detailed build comparisons.
Choose your class, skill, skill rank, weapon, and target conditions, then enter your character stats to see how different setups perform. Our calculator lets you compare two builds side by side and understand which stats and upgrades provide the biggest improvement to your damage output.
Whether you are testing a new build, comparing weapons, optimizing critical strike stats, or trying to find the best upgrade for your character, this damage calculator gives you a clear breakdown instead of relying on guesswork.
Calculate Damage With Your Exact Build
A good damage calculator should do more than show a single number. It should help you understand where that number comes from.
Our calculator starts with your selected weapon and skill coefficient, calculates the base damage, applies your main stat and additive damage bonuses, then applies additional multipliers before calculating critical and vulnerable damage. You can also compare expected damage and DPS between two different stat setups.
The calculator supports:
- Skill and skill rank selection
- Weapon selection
- Item Power
- Skill coefficients
- Conditional damage bonuses
- Normal, Elite, and Boss targets
- Crowd Controlled and other target conditions
- Main stat
- Additive damage bonuses
- Critical Strike Chance
- Critical Strike Damage
- Critical damage multipliers
- Vulnerable damage
- Vulnerable damage multipliers
- Vulnerable uptime
- Attack Speed
- Cooldown Reduction
- Additional damage multipliers
- Damage over Time
- Expected damage per hit
- Expected DPS
- Build A vs Build B comparison
- Upgrade leverage calculations
The calculator also allows an optional base-damage override when you have an exact weapon-damage percentage from a skill tooltip.

How the Damage Calculator Works
Using the calculator is simple.
Select Your Class
Start by choosing the class you want to test. The calculator currently includes:
- Barbarian
- Druid
- Necromancer
- Rogue
- Sorcerer
- Spiritborn
- Paladin
- Warlock
Each class has its own skills, weapons, coefficients, and calculation settings.
Choose Your Skill
Select the skill you want to analyze. Every supported class has multiple skills available in the calculator.
For example, Barbarian includes skills such as Bash, Frenzy, Hammer of the Ancients, Rend, Whirlwind, and Upheaval. Other classes have their own skill lists and corresponding coefficients.
Select the Skill Rank
Choose a skill rank from 1 through 5. The calculator uses the coefficient associated with the selected rank when determining the base damage of the skill.
The calculator displays the selected skill coefficient as a percentage of weapon damage, making it easier to see how strongly your skill scales with your weapon.
Select Your Weapon
Weapon choice can significantly affect the starting damage calculation.
Different classes have different weapon options and weapon factors. For example, the calculator supports weapons such as two-handed swords, axes, maces, bows, crossbows, daggers, staffs, wands, scythes, quarterstaffs, glaives, flails, and other class-specific weapons.
Enter Item Power
Enter your weapon or item power into the Item Power field.
The calculator converts Item Power into an estimated weapon damage value using the weapon factor associated with the selected weapon.
Select the Target
You can select between:
- Normal
- Elite
- Boss
You can also activate conditions such as:
- Close
- Distant
- Crowd Controlled
- Stunned
- Frozen
- Slowed
- Injured
- Healthy
These conditions can be used together with the conditional damage bonus field when testing a specific combat situation.
Damage Calculation Breakdown
The calculator provides a detailed damage breakdown instead of hiding the calculation behind one final number.
Your calculation progresses through several stages:
Base Damage → Main Stat → Additive Bonuses → Multipliers → Critical/Vulnerable Damage → Expected Damage → DPS
The base value is calculated from the selected weapon and skill coefficient. Your main stat is then applied, followed by additive damage bonuses and any additional multiplier rows.
This makes it easier to identify which part of your build is responsible for your final damage.
Base Damage
Base damage comes from the relationship between your weapon’s calculated damage and the selected skill coefficient.
If your skill has a higher coefficient, it can produce a larger base result from the same weapon damage.
Main Stat
The calculator applies your main stat after calculating the base damage.
This allows you to test how increasing your primary stat changes the resulting damage.
Additive Damage
You can enter your damage bonuses in the Damage Bonus (Add) % field.
Conditional damage bonuses can also be added to this stage of the calculation.
Additional Multipliers
The calculator supports custom multiplier rows, allowing you to add additional percentage multipliers to your calculation.
You can add another multiplier whenever your build contains an additional multiplier that you want to test.
Critical Damage Calculator
Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage are important parts of the calculator.
Enter your Critical Strike Chance and Critical Damage values to see:
- Average critical damage
- Critical damage against Vulnerable targets
- Expected damage per hit
- Expected DPS
The calculator calculates critical damage using the configured critical-damage multiplier and then combines it with the probability of landing a critical hit.
This is particularly useful when comparing a build with more Critical Strike Chance against another build with more Critical Strike Damage.
Instead of asking which stat looks better on paper, you can enter both setups and compare their expected results.
Vulnerable Damage Calculator
Vulnerable damage is calculated separately from normal and critical damage.
You can enter:
- Vulnerable Damage %
- Vulnerable Damage Multiplier %
- Vulnerable Uptime %
The calculator then uses your Vulnerable uptime to estimate how often the Vulnerable state contributes to your expected damage.
This makes the calculator useful for builds where maintaining Vulnerable uptime is an important part of the damage strategy.
Expected Damage Per Hit
Maximum damage is not always the same as realistic average damage.
The calculator therefore provides Expected Per Hit, which takes Critical Strike Chance and Vulnerable uptime into account.
You can see separate values for:
- Non-critical hit
- Critical hit
- Critical hit against Vulnerable
- Expected damage per hit
This gives you a more practical way to compare builds than looking only at the largest possible hit.
DPS Calculator
Damage per second is calculated using expected damage per cast and the number of casts that can occur each second.
For skills without a cooldown, attack speed affects the casts-per-second calculation.
For skills with a cooldown, the calculator uses the skill’s cooldown and applies the configured cooldown-reduction calculation.
The final result is shown as:
Expected DPS
This makes the calculator useful for comparing not only single-hit damage, but also the sustained output of different builds.
Damage Over Time Calculator
Some skills in the calculator include damage-over-time effects.
For supported skills, you can choose whether to include the DoT component in the calculation.
The calculator uses the configured DoT percentage per second and duration to estimate the additional damage contributed by the effect.
This is useful when a skill’s total output cannot be represented accurately by its initial hit alone.
Compare Two Builds
One of the main features of this damage calculator is the ability to compare Setup A and Setup B.
Enter the stats for your first build in Setup A and the stats for your second build in Setup B.
The calculator then shows:
- Expected DPS for Setup A
- Expected damage per hit for Setup A
- Critical vs Vulnerable damage for Setup A
- Expected DPS for Setup B
- Expected damage per hit for Setup B
- Critical vs Vulnerable damage for Setup B
- Percentage difference between B and A
The comparison makes it easy to determine whether changing your gear or stats actually improves your overall damage output.
Find Your Best Damage Upgrade
Not every stat upgrade provides the same amount of damage.
The calculator includes an Upgrade Leverage section that tests several standardized upgrades and shows the resulting DPS gain.
It can compare the impact of:
- +50 Main Stat
- +10% additive damage
- +5% Critical Strike Chance
- +20% Critical Strike Damage
- +20% Vulnerable Damage
- +10% Vulnerable Uptime
- +10% Attack Speed
- A new ×10% multiplier
The results are sorted by their DPS gain, helping you identify which type of upgrade has the greatest effect on your current setup.

Why Use a Damage Calculator?
Damage numbers can become difficult to compare when several stats interact at the same time.
A build may have more main stat but less critical damage. Another build may have higher Vulnerable damage but lower Critical Strike Chance. A third setup might attack faster but deal less damage with every individual hit.
Looking at one stat at a time does not always tell you which setup performs better.
A damage calculator lets you put the complete setup into one calculation and compare the resulting expected performance.
Instead of asking:
“Which stat is better?”
you can ask:
“Which complete setup produces more expected damage and DPS?”
How to Get More Accurate Results
The calculator uses approximate skill coefficients and an approximate Item Power-to-weapon-damage curve. The tool specifically provides an Override Base field so users can enter an exact base value from their own skill tooltip when available.
For the best results:
- Select the correct class.
- Select the exact skill.
- Choose the correct skill rank.
- Select the weapon you are using.
- Enter your Item Power.
- Add your main stat.
- Enter your additive damage bonuses.
- Enter Critical Strike Chance and Critical Damage.
- Enter Vulnerable damage and expected Vulnerable uptime.
- Add Attack Speed and Cooldown Reduction when relevant.
- Enable DoT when the skill has a supported damage-over-time effect.
- Use the Override Base field when you have an exact tooltip value.
- Compare Setup A and Setup B.
Damage Calculation vs Maximum Damage
Maximum hit damage and expected damage are different things.
A build with extremely high critical damage may produce a large critical hit, but if its Critical Strike Chance is low, that large hit may happen less frequently.
Likewise, a build with high Vulnerable damage may not perform as expected if Vulnerable uptime is low.
That is why this calculator reports both individual damage results and expected DPS.
You can see the potential hit range, critical damage, critical-vulnerable damage, expected damage per hit, casts per second, and expected DPS in the same calculation.
